How to transport a non running vehicle
In the Auto Transport Industry the phrase Inop or Inoperable Vehicle transport is used to describe the condition of a vehicle or piece of equipment that cannot operate on its own power. Rolling chassis, shell, non running vehicle, salvage auction vehicle, part out, parts car can all be considered Inop vehicles. If a piece of heavy equipment or passenger vehicle has substantial damage to the steering system, engine power train, suspension, axles, wheels, or any moving mechanical parts it will be deemed inoperable. Even if an automobile has damage that hampers the movement and maneuvering abilities it will probably be called an inop.
